 Event Description

Amara, an emotional drama which tells the story of a 42-year old Nigerian man living in Switzerland, who after a failed marriage to a European woman, decides to return to his native country Nigeria in search of a wife. He gets entangled in a triangle with two women bankers.
Shot in Zurich, Switzerland and Lagos, Nigeria by Bond Emeruwa, Amara also starred Jennifer Mulinde Schmid, Sibylla Rausmussen, Marco Zubinden, Sarah Gmüh, Judith Audu and Yemi Blaq.
Aihende, the movie producer, is set to premiere the movie in Nigeria by April , 2017, eight years after he made his mark on the Nigerian movie industry with the production of “CheckPoint.”
Amara premiered in Zurich, Switzerland on September 24, 2016 during the Zurich Film Festival. Other premiere dates have also been done at Houston Texas and Atlanta in USA in October.

The Nollywood acts, joined forces with actors from Switzerland and Germany for the movie, which is produced by Joe Aihende.
It’s a story of a 42 years old Nigerian man based in Europe, he decided to return to Nigeria in search of a wife, after a failed marriage to an European woman. He got tangled in a triangle of three scenarios of; Two Nigerian female bankers, one who wanted to have him at all cost and the other who was indifferent. His mother who believes she could help him find the right woman and the European ex-wife who wants him back.
It’s a highly emotional drama, full of suspense, intrigues with an unpredictable ending.
